PHD COLLOQUIUM AND WORKSHOP
The PhD colloquium is an integral part of TARC 2025, designed especially for doctoral students in accounting and related fields. It provides a unique opportunity to present and discuss their research projects in an international academic environment, to receive constructive feedback from senior scholars, and to exchange ideas with peers from different universities and countries.
The colloquium also features a dedicated workshop, “How to publish in a quality journal?”, led by Prof. Timur Uman (Jönköping University & Stockholm School of Economics). This session will guide PhD students through the publication process and offer practical advice on developing their academic careers.

Additionally, PhD students from the University of Lodz Doctoral School of Social Sciences can join the workshop online after registration.

Source:https://www.sseriga.edu/uman-timurProf. Timur Uman is Academic Provost (Chair of the Board of Education and Research Education) at Jönköping University and Full Professor of Business Administration (Accounting & Control) at Jönköping International Business School (JIBS). He leads the Accounting Group at JIBS and is also an Affiliated Scholar at the Stockholm School of Economics’ House of Governance & Public Policy. His research spans corporate governance, auditing, management control, diversity, and public/hybrid sector governance, and he has authored 50+ peer-reviewed articles across ABS 1–4* journals, including recent work in British Accounting Review, European Management Review, Management Science, Public Management Review, and Accounting Forum. He serves as an associate editor at Baltic Journal of Management (ABS1/Q2) on the editorial boards of European Management Review (ABS 3) and the Journal of Public Budgeting, Accounting & Financial Management (ABS 2). He has attracted over 2,5 MEUR in external research funding, a further 1 MEUR for education/capacity-building projects, and commissioned research totaling about 4 MEUR. Timur serves on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion committee of European Accounting Association and serves on several board of directors in Swedish and Latvian corporation.
